Michelle Lamphere - Sturgis to Ushuaia Via Labrador

Michelle Lamphere had a high stress career with a six-figure salary, that was eating up her life. She only found time to ride one of her motorcycles on weekends, something she loved to do. Until one day Michelle met Brian, an English motorcycle adventurer who contacted her about couch-surfing at her home, something Michelle had offered in the past to mostly female travellers. After confirming Brian was trustworthy, he stayed at her house and 4 years later, they are still together.

Not long after they met, Brian invited Michelle to travel with him from South Dakota, through Labrador and south to Ushuaia. After two years, and much planning, Michelle was finally ready to go. But, on the Trans Labrador Highway in Canada, something happened that threw a wrench in to their plans, something that showed them the compassion and generosity of people to travellers.

This is not just an adventure story, but an inspiring story of a two year ride, where Michelle met incredible people including other adventure riders and travellers. Where she discovered the great value of motorcycle forums, and how much help locals can be to strangers.

Michelle and Brian thought they had set out for a motorcycle adventure, but they got so much more out of it than just putting some miles on their tires.
