In 1999, Todd Lawson lost his brother, Sean, to cerebral malaria after a motorcycle journey through southern Africa. Wracked with guilt, Todd meets Christina, a kindred spirit, and together they embark on a motorcycle trip across the Americas, spreading Sean's ashes along the way. Inspired by Sean's adventurous spirit, they decide to return to Africa to distribute mosquito nets to those in need, turning their journey into a meaningful exploration of the continent's beauty and its people.

Several years ago, Steve Mason and some good friends spent five months on the road, an exceptional trip riding through foreign lands and crossing borders. When it was over, they headed home and got back to normal life. But as you can imagine, this didn’t scratch an itch so much as kindle a flame. And for Steve, returning home was bit rough. He had quit his job before he left, spent a good junk of money on the trip and had a family that depended on him. It was difficult getting settled in again and he couldn’t shake that desire to get back on the road. He just had to figure out how to make it work so that he didn’t come home and have to start everything all over again. And this time, he wanted more… he wanted the round the world trip.

When Kathleen Terner first got on a motorcycle with her future husband, she instantly fell in love with riding and she spent four years on the back of his bike until the relationship ended. But, her love for motorcycling didn’t wane and she was determined to still ride and take cross-country trips, so she got her motorcycle license and bought a bike. After the divorce and recovering from throat cancer, Kathleen decided to go on a solo trip, one that would change her life as she overcame her fear of being alone and the limitations that caused her to doubt herself. She turned her motorcycle in to the wind and discovered that life was good.

Chris Donaldson was brought up during The Troubles in Northern Island and for years he looked towards escaping his conflicted homeland on his motorcycle with the goal of riding to Australia. But, not long after he set out he hit a ‘road block’ and as often happens in travel, plans changed. He ended up riding his Moto Guzzi Le Mans to places he thought he never would and 40 years later getting to Australia is still on Chris’ mind. An epic journey and an entertaining tale that reminds us that travel is not about the destination.

In some cases, in fact in many cases, travel leads to exploration, discovery, experience and generally to more travel. But, in some rare instances travel can actually lead to settling down and finding a new place to call home that stimulates the mind and soul just as travel does. When you listen to Peter Starr speak, you can’t help but feel his positive energy. Peter’s extensive career in the motorcycle industry has spanned about a half a century. Later in life, a health issue led to his conclusion that dealing with aging requires living a purposeful life - and for him that involved motorcycling, which has always been a big part of his life. Tim and Marisa Notier were once high school sweethearts that went their separate ways when Marisa went to college and Tim stayed back in Chicago to work. After ten years apart, leading completely different lives, they got together again and decided to explore the world together 2-up on a KTM 1190 motorcycle. They’ve travelled through North and South America and are now heading to South Africa and then to Europe. And with each sometimes seeing travel and the world from a different perspective, they’ve learned from each other how to get the most from it.

When Heather Ellis was required to do a routine medical test to get a Visa to travel to Russia, she wasn’t expecting the news she got from the doctor. Despite the challenges Heather was facing, she remained strong and persevered, and would go on to do what she thought was her last big motorcycle adventure. Her courage and strength led her down roads she could never have imagined, even to this day.
